Wheel Alignment

How do you know that your wheels need aligning?

Often when wheels are not aligned correctly, you will notice the vehicle pulling to one side or, you may have difficulty driving. It is important to watch out for:

  • Uneven or abnormal tyre wear

  • Vibration in the steering wheel

  • Pulling to one side

  • Squealing noises at low speed

When your tyres are worn, other factors can also be impacted such as braking distance, driving quality and fuel consumption. For example, misaligned wheels have poorer fuel economy as they have greater resistance with the road which in turn leads to higher gas mileage. A study found that when wheels were aligned, there was an improvement of up to 20% in the average tyre life. So, it is important to get your wheel alignment checked if you think something is amiss.

What is wheel alignment?

Wheel alignment, also known as tracking refers to the angle and direction of which your vehicle’s tyres are set. Getting your wheel alignment done when you notice a problem is an important part of your vehicle maintenance.

Using specialist equipment, we are able to realign the wheels to their correct angle and direction, allowing you to drive straight once again. Not every vehicle has the same wheel alignment so we ensure your wheels will be aligned to the specification of the make and model of your car or van.
